The date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral has been set as Monday 19 September and this date has been declared a national bank holiday. The Parish Offices and Community Centres will close on this day but will open again on Tuesday as normal.  The Condolence Book will be reopened on Tuesday 20th September for the day and any flowers laid as a tribute at the War Memorial will be removed and composted.

The Trustees of Twynam’s Charities are looking for a clerk to undertake the management of the charity and its assets.

Twynam’s Charities were established between 1630 & 1840 for the ‘Relief of Need’ in residents of Bishopstoke, Fair Oak & Horton Heath.

The charity owns five rented properties in Fair Oak Square. Surplus funds, are distributed at the discretion of the Trustees in line with the Charity’s stated objectives.

The Charity is run by a Team of voluntary Trustees, with advice from the Clerk.

The salary will be in the range of £12-15 per hour, depending on experience. Hours to be worked are variable and flexible but over the past 2 years have ranged between 5 and 10 hours per week, with an average of 5 hours per week.
