EXPLORE FAIR OAK AND HORTON HEATH

Knowle Hill conservation area has a car park and a picnic area.  A footpath will lead you through woodland to Knowle Park, a 35-acre country park, which is a haven for wildlife and wildflowers.  Many trees have been planted and paths laid, making it accessible throughout the year.  A pond, viewing mound, play area and skate park make this a great place to visit.

At Lapstone Farm you will find a community orchard and wildflower meadows.  A boardwalk links this to the sports ground and a kissing gate allows access to public paths beyond.  Lapstone playing fields has football pitches, cricket and two free tennis courts.  Behind here is Wyvern Meadow which is full of orchids during the summer.

New Century Park is located next to the Village Hall in the centre of the village; there is a play area, outdoor gym, basketball hoop and a kick-about area.  The annual carnival and fun fair was held here up until 2019.

Stoke Park Woods has extensive tracks for walking and cycling and there are various wooden play structures hidden in the trees.

A leaflet is available from local shops, community buildings, and pubs to help you explore the villages and their local countryside.  It highlights some of the local open spaces in more detail and lists local facilities available.  If you want to learn more about the history of the Parish, a book is available for purchase from the Parish Office.
