Parish Councillor Details
The Parish has 15 Councillors. All Councillors serve a four year term, and are normally elected in a single election. Councillors give their time voluntarily and do not get paid a salary or expenses.
Councillor Register of Interest Documents are reviewed annually. If there are no amendments, the Councillor Register of Interest Document will roll-over from the previous year. All Councillor signatures have been redacted as per current General Data Protection Regulations.

BIOGRAPHY
Colin has been a resident of Fair Oak for over 50 years and has witnessed significant changes in the village. However, he acknowledges that the village has managed to preserve its unique character and a strong sense of community. As an advocate for its appearance, he is keen to maintain and enhance it. Colin's professional background is in science, and despite being retired, he still maintains an interest in the scientific applications of IT. He occasionally consults for the Chemistry department at the University of Southampton.

Lived in Fair Oak since 2001 with my wife and two daughters (both now married and living in other parts of the country). I took early retirement from a national animal charity in 2018 and have since devoted myself to village life.

BIOGRAPHY
Helen is a retired teacher, Mum, and Grandma. Dedicating her career to education, Helen worked in two local schools and a 6th-form college since her move here in 1983. In 1989, she joined the Parish Council becoming Chair three years later. She is also a Hampshire Ambassador for Local Councils and was part of the team of volunteers who built Horton Heath Hall, after which she chaired its Management Committee. Additionally, Helen is a Justice of the Peace and has served as a mentor for the Prince’s Trust.

Graham is a retired IT manager who relocated to this area 27 years ago with his wife of 50 years. Together they have raised four children. Since retiring, Graham has dedicated this time to volunteering for various charities, including Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service. He played an instrumental role in setting up the Community Library during its early stages. Graham is passionate about the community and remains an active member of this community, serving as a parish councillor with pride.

Bruce has been a resident of Eastleigh since 1985 and ventured into public service in 2006 when he was elected as an Eastleigh Borough Councillor. In the following year, he was also chosen to serve on West End Parish Council. At present, he holds a position in Fair Oak & Horton Heath Parish Council, making him a member of three councils. Moreover, he has served for 12 years in Hampshire County Council and eight years in Hedge End Town Council. Alongside his Council responsibilities, Bruce is President of Itchen North Scouts and a School Governor at Norwood Primary School. Bruce takes pride in his community and is a passionate advocate for equality and liberalism and the environment.
