Household Waste Recycling Centres Hampshire County Council is continuing to work on preparations to safely reopen Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) in the week commencing 11 May, subject to further Government guidance expected next week on travel to an HWRC during the COVID-19 outbreak. When the centres open, there will be new measures in place including social distancing, allowing a limited number of people at one time, and operating reduced opening hours to allow time for staff to thoroughly cleanse sites each day. HCC have also confirmed that in view of the current circumstances, number plate recognition provisions will not be enforced during this period. This will allow time for residents to register their car registrations.
