Coronavirus

Cancellations of Council meetings: As part of our support to the Government’s approach to delay the spread of Coronavirus, all non-essential Member meetings have been cancelled until further notice.   The Full Council will continue to meet on a monthly basis in order to undertake essential decisions. As most of our Councillors fall within the vulnerable category, the meetings will be managed by our small pool or younger members.

Closure of Parish Office: In line with the above, the Parish Office will be closed to the public until further notice. If you need to contact the Parish Council please do so online in the first instance via our website www.fairoak-pc.gov.uk, or by phone on 02380 692403 if it is an urgent issue which can’t be dealt with via the emergency services.

Closure of Community Centres: Following the latest government advice – which includes social distancing measures – the Council has taken the decision to restrict the use of the Woodland Community Centre to the local pre-school only and to close the Horton Heath Community Centre with effect from Wednesday 18 March 2020.

Community Assistance: The Parish Council would like to support and encourage community neighbourliness at this trying time. As such we will be delivering the following forms to all households

If you are able, please help vulnerable neighbours, by using the form provided.  We are also encouraging residents to monitor our Fair Oak Parish Council Facebook page to access, support and join local support groups.

We are working on a shift system for our operations staff, who may be able to help with local deliveries. Please monitor our website and facebook for more details on this in the coming days/weeks.

To all our residents – Kindness is a gift anyone can afford to give. Please stay safe, look out for one another and be kind.
