Our Mission Statement
As a community council, we will deliver professional services to all our residents, treating all with kindness and respect and promoting community spirit through community-led initiatives, improved communications, and transparent decision making, without the politics.
Our top priority is working with our community, and our key partners, to deliver services right the first time. By using our council resources wisely, we will ensure that our areas of responsibility are delivered well, ensuring that the community has a nicer, happier, and kinder place to live, work and enjoy.
Building our resilience as a community over the next three years is important to us if we want to champion inclusivity, and climate action, and support residents in challenging times.
Doing what we can locally with what we have is essential. As your community council, we set out here what you can expect from us and how you can help us deliver the best quality service.
Our focus, in partnership with our residents for the next three years is shown in the image below.

Our Corporate Plan, 2023-2026
In April 2023, the Council approved our new Corporate Plan for 2023–2026, titled ‘Community and Climate First.’ The plan was developed through a community-wide survey conducted between December 2022 and March 2023.
Objectives of the Plan
The Corporate Plan is based on three key objectives:
People
We are committed to fair treatment for all, supporting those in need, and creating community-led initiatives and opportunities. By promoting community spirit and kindness, we aim to make our area a great place to live, work, and enjoy.
Planet
Our goal is to ensure all areas directly under Council control achieve Carbon Neutral status by 2035. Additionally, we aim to help make Fair Oak & Horton Heath a net-zero parish by 2050.
Place
We will ensure that areas under our responsibility are kept tidy, enjoyable, and accessible. Working alongside key strategic partners, we will focus on sustainable development, cleaner and safer streets, and providing greater opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
