Salary £22,183 per annum (pro rota)
37 Hours per week (April – October)

Fair Oak & Horton Heath Parish Council are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative. Offering a 6-month, permanent contract, starting in April through to October. Primarily working in Fair Oak Cemetery and our Parks, although you may be required to work in any of our playgrounds, open spaces and properties. You will often be working alone and unsupervised but with the support of a great team. We are looking for a conscientious and hardworking individual with a good work ethic, who takes ‘ownership’ of their area and who prides themselves on achieving fantastic results for the benefit of the whole community.
Main Responsibilities
To undertake Grounds maintenance and health and safety checks across Parish owned sites in Fair Oak & Horton Heath with particular focus on Fair Oak Cemetery, Play Areas and Recreation Grounds.
Key Roles of the Job
- Undertaking grounds maintenance, horticultural and related tasks within the site
- Grass cutting/shrub pruning/removal of weeds and litter
- Preventative maintenance checks of machinery and other duties you may be asked to perform.
Successful applicant must have a full, clean, driving licence.
